Role Play Covenant

General #

Always In-Character #

If a Participant is not in-character they must have an out-of-character group tag on.

Role Play Signs #

If Participants wish to limit the role play that can happen at their business a role play sign from the Renter Package must be conspicuously posted with the sign’s notecard contents updated.

Public Service Abuse #

Abuse of public services will preclude the availability of public services to that Participant.

Legal Incorporation #

All laws, rules and regulations of the County of Miami-Dade, the State of Florida and the United States apply. While we appreciate realistic role play, we do not want perfect to be the enemy of good. Just because a good scene is unrealistic doesn’t mean it isn’t valid. Role play should be fun, even if not realistic.

Fantasy Elements #

Fantasy role-play elements, such as those normally associated with vampires, lycans, angels or demons, are permitted in an out-of-character context unless all Participants in a scene agree to their use in-character. Using these elements on any other Participant without their consent is not permitted.

Minors #

Authentic Portrayal #

Participants role playing as minors must strive for realism and authenticity in character portrayal while being mindful of the inherent responsibilities and limitations associated with portraying younger characters.

Unattended Minors #

Participants role playing as minors found without a parent or guardian that are discovered by or reported to law enforcement will be put in the care of the Department of Human Services. NPC nannies may be used but they must be capable and actively maintaining the minor’s contentment and safety.

Graphic Content #

Role play scenarios involving role play minors depicted in severely negative scenarios must be first cleared with all parties that can reasonably be believed to become involved with the role play.
