Police Officers are responsible for protecting the citizens and property of Magnolia City by enforcing laws, rules, and regulations put forth. They respond to both emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
The Magnolia City Police Department offers various ranks to its officers, each described below.
Captain
The Captain manages the day-to-day operations of the police department and coordinates program activities, and other work as required.
Lieutenant
Exercises direct supervision over departmental personnel at the direction from departmental command. The Lieutenant oversees the human resources department and administers interviews for both internal and external applicants in various roles.
Sergeant
Sergeants are supervisors that oversee Investigations, Special Response Team, and Field Training.
Corporal
Corporals serve as a supervisor and squad leader. They are responsible for reporting departmental needs to command, and also involved in field training.
Officer

K9 Officer
K9 Officers track suspects and missing persons, perform area and building searches to locate suspects, and assist their handlers in various activities.
Dispatcher
Dispatchers take all calls that are directed to the City of Magnolia. These calls can include both emergency and non-emergency calls, and are responsible for dispatching out the appropriate city unites to address the call. They also provide basic information for inquiring members of the public.
